Your mission

In the role of nursing assistant at Kärråkra dementia care, you will provide our residents with care, service, and support, as well as carry out social activities based on the individual needs and wishes of the residents. The work is person-centered, and we use implementation plans. We start from the resident's conditions to adapt the support provided as much as possible. The work includes motivating and stimulating the resident to maintain their ability to participate and be independent. We use low-arousal responses, and it is important that you are calm and secure in your role as a nursing assistant. Our various professional roles work in teams to develop response/action plans based on BPSD assessments (behavioral and psychological symptoms in dementia) and Senior Alert, which are also regularly evaluated by the team.

We work with an active contact person model where collaboration with relatives is an important part of the job. The work also includes administering medications as delegated by a nurse. Documentation is done in the Lifecare journal system.

At Kärråkra, we work according to a schedule both during the day, evening, and every other weekend.

Your experience

To be considered for the position of nursing assistant at Kärråkra, we see that you:

• are a trained nursing assistant with approved grades
• master the Swedish language in both speech and writing, and have good reading comprehension
• have good computer skills
• have previous experience in dementia care

Strongly meritorious is:

• if you have previous experience working with BPSD and Senior Alert
• if you can establish implementation plans and document
• if you have previously held various delegations
• if you have previous experience with the Lifecare journal system

To be employed as a nursing assistant, you must be able to present the protected professional title certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare.

About the workplace

Kärråkra special housing with a focus on dementia is located just next to a green area in Eslöv. The residence consists of 4 units with a total of 56 apartments distributed over 2 floors. We share an entrance with the health center, and on the ground floor, the Kärråkra restaurant is open daily for lunch or coffee. The house also houses our day activity Alegården, with which we have a close collaboration.

Kärråkra is a 20-minute walk from the train station, and if you take the bus, it only takes 10 minutes.
