We are looking to recruit nurses for placement in the Pre- and Postoperative Department of Surgery and Orthopedics at Skåne University Hospital (Sus) in Malmö. Our pre- and postoperative unit is part of the Intensive and Perioperative Care Operations Area (VO IPV). We are open 24/7, but are currently undergoing a merger where you may eventually have the opportunity to rotate between several pre- and postoperative units, including reconstructive surgery and gynecological surgery - perfect for those who want to broaden their skills and try new things without changing workplaces.

RESPONSIBILITIES

In our unit, we work to provide patients with the best possible care before and especially after surgery. As a nurse in the pre- and postoperative unit, you will come into contact with patients, both adults and children, across many different specialties. QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a licensed nurse with experience in somatic care and the qualifications to work within Swedish healthcare. Furthermore, you have language skills in Swedish equivalent to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe’s scale. Experience or specialist training in emergency care, pediatrics, surgical/urological care, pre- and postoperative care, or intensive care is considered an advantage.

You are engaged, secure in your professional role, and want to work in a dynamic environment. You find it easy to collaborate and have the ability to prioritize in acute situations. We expect that you, like us, are driven by the desire and interest to develop postoperative care. Additionally, you are motivated to actively participate in the continuous improvement process we are undergoing. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
