We are now looking for a Shift Leader for Scandic Rubinen.

What does the role of Shift Leader Front Office entail?

Those working in Front Office are responsible for ensuring that our guests receive world-class service. You are the spider in the web who ensures that the guest is always the focus. You are the one who goes through the arrival list and pays attention to the details. You solve most issues and are a star at turning a dissatisfied guest into a satisfied one. Responsibilities also include administrative work, safety work, and sales work. The Front Office work involves checking in and out hotel guests, welcoming them, and providing the information they need about their stay. You manage bookings in the Opera Cloud system and handle administrative tasks related to guests and safety.

In the role of Shift Leader, you have, in addition to being part of the operations, an overall overview of guest flow and work with the team to prioritize tasks so that the operation runs smoothly and guests are satisfied. You lead and delegate work and manage staffing during your shift. If necessary, you will train new employees at the hotel and also relieve the Front Office Manager of certain administrative tasks.

The hotel is open 24/7, so it is important that you enjoy working shifts (mornings, afternoons, and weekends).

Your qualifications

For this role, you need both the ability and the willingness to work with operational leadership. You are confident in your leadership and possess both integrity and sales drive. To fit the role, we also believe you have a well-developed social ability and can handle many different things happening simultaneously. It is very important that you can convey good hospitality to the hotel’s guests. You are a responsive and unpretentious team player who takes significant responsibility for your tasks and the overall result.

You also have experience and knowledge of working with computers as a working tool.

Since the job largely consists of communicating with guests, good knowledge of Swedish and English is a prerequisite. If you speak another language, it is an advantage.

The position is a permanent full-time employment. We apply a 6-month probationary period.
