That’s why we are now looking for a hotel staff member for Hotel Ranten in Falköping - a historic hotel with a new twist, located opposite the train station. With us, hospitality is at the forefront, and the work is varied, including serving in the restaurant, café work, and guest service at the reception.

Your Role

As a hotel staff member, you are part of the whole and the experience we want to create at Hotel Ranten. The role is broad, but with a clear emphasis on serving. You will work during breakfast, lunch, and sometimes evening service when events are planned. In collaboration with the kitchen and bar, you create a professional flow, where your sense of service and wine knowledge become important contributions. You will work with:

• Active hospitality and guest reception in restaurant, café, and hotel environments
• Serving food and drinks with good product knowledge
• Serving responsibility during events
• Handling bookings, payments, and simple administration at the reception
• Collaboration with colleagues in the kitchen and bar to ensure quality at all levels

You communicate clearly, take responsibility, and are someone others can rely on – in details and delivery. At the same time, you thrive in a team where knowledge is shared and the work is done together.

Qualifications

• High school education, preferably with a focus on economics, service, or the hospitality industry
• 2-3 years of experience in hotel, restaurant, or other professional service operations
• Experience in bar service and drink recommendations
• Experience working independently with your own area of responsibility, e.g., bar, breakfast, reception, or events
• Experience with simple administrative tasks such as email, phone, and orders
• Good knowledge of English and Swedish, both spoken and written

It’s a Plus if You Have:

• Experience working with café service
• Experience in simple planning related to staffing or budget

Hotel Ranten

The hotel is Bräcke Diakoni's latest addition to the hotel and restaurant business and has roots dating back to 1865 – a history that we let be part of the experience for our guests. We are part of a growing visitor concept in Falköping with several operations, including Kurorten Mösseberg and Hotell Falköping.
