School Counselor at Vittra Lambohov

Your Mission

We are now offering a 40% position as a school counselor. As a counselor with us, you will be an important part of the student health team together with the principal and in the development of our student health work. Your mission includes both investigative and developmental work with a focus on preventive and health-promoting measures regarding the psychosocial school environment. Your tasks include participating in the school's ongoing values and safety work, working with student groups, coordinating and following up on absenteeism, having various types of conversations with teams, individual educators, students, and guardians. You will also collaborate with external actors such as social services, habilitation, and child and adolescent psychiatry.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work or another equivalent higher education degree. You have a strong commitment to students' psychosocial situations and the ability to meet people in different life situations. You find it easy to build relationships and are professional and respectful in your interactions. You can communicate constructively with both students, guardians, and colleagues. You have a positive attitude and see the strengths and opportunities of all students. As a person, you are stable, empathetic, unpretentious, and confident in your professional role. You thrive in an environment characterized by courage and conscious learning; this is how we make a difference.

The position is a permanent position at 40% starting with a 6-month probationary period. It is a vacation position starting by agreement.
