- Working in surgery in Kristianstad is very varied with a good balance between theory and practice. I find that Centralsjukhuset Kristianstad is just the right size and something that stands out here is the family-like atmosphere we have. The area of operation (VO) surgery includes surgical activities at CSK. The operation in Kristianstad has both planned and acute activities and is divided into vascular, colorectal, breast and plastic, upper gastro/endocrine, and acute teams. The operations include everything from wards, surgery, to outpatient clinics and emergency duty.

Centralsjukhuset in Kristianstad (CSK) is the emergency hospital for northeastern Skåne. Emergency care is provided around the clock by qualified and dedicated staff. CSK has the resources of a large hospital and the closeness and community of a smaller hospital. We are about 2,600 employees.

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are now looking for non-licensed junior doctors for our departments within VO surgery at Centralsjukhuset in Kristianstad. The positions are temporary contracts running from August 2026 to February 2027.

The tasks are customary for a junior doctor in a surgical department, such as rounding with the responsible physicians, admitting and discharging patients, writing referrals and prescriptions, etc. In addition to working in our departments, we offer the opportunity to receive an introduction to work in the emergency department. After the introduction, there is the possibility to take extra on-call shifts on weekends as a surgical primary on-call.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a junior doctor. To be eligible, you must have a medical degree and be waiting for your residency, or you must have completed up to the tenth semester of your medical training and thus be eligible to work as a temporary non-licensed junior doctor on general dispensation. Language skills in Swedish at least corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe’s level scale are required.

As a person, you are curious and can take your own initiatives as your ability allows. You have high social competence and see it as a given to meet your patients in the best way. Furthermore, you find it easy to collaborate, are flexible, and have good communication skills.
