The Swedish Prison and Probation Service is growing – we are building new, renovating, and expanding, and we are now looking for more employees.

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for four payroll administrators for the Section of Personnel and Payroll Administration. The section's work includes payroll, personnel administration, schedule administration, travel expenses, and reimbursements. In the role of payroll administrator, you will work with ongoing tasks related to our payroll cycle, e.g., monitoring lists, error and signal lists, absence administration, and debts. You will also register employments, establish employment contracts, and create certificates. You will provide support to employees and managers throughout the authority, both via our case management system and by phone. We also encourage our employees to participate in developing our processes and working methods. The role of payroll administrator may also involve participation in various assignments related to, for example, improvement work within our processes.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is service-oriented and professional in their approach and who enjoys working closely with others to achieve common goals. You have good analytical skills and approach issues with a solution-oriented and meticulous work style. Quality is important to you, and you ensure that the work is done correctly from the start. At the same time, you have the ability to see the big picture and understand how the various parts of the payroll processes affect the organization as a whole.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Academic or vocational training as a payroll specialist or qualifications deemed equivalent
  • Recent experience in payroll administration
  • The ability to express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish
  • Very good computer skills

It is an advantage if you have:

  • Education in areas related to labor law, systems, payroll, or personnel
  • Experience with the personnel system Heroma or another equivalent payroll system
  • Experience in personnel work within the public sector
  • Experience working with state collective agreements and payroll processes
  • Very good knowledge of the Office suite
