Financial Administrator at the Health and Care Administration
The position is located within the Health and Care Administration, which is one of eight administrations in Linköping Municipality. The Health and Care Administration is responsible for the municipality's elderly care, health and medical services, regulatory activities, ordering services, and operates care and support in its own right. Your Responsibilities
As a financial administrator with us, you have a comprehensive role where you, together with the unit manager and the work group, work to achieve established goals based on the Health and Care Administration's operational plan and internal budget. The administration's vision is clear: "A Smart Care for the Future"
In your work, you participate in year-end closing and budgeting, compile data from various systems, and conduct analytical work. Furthermore, you contribute to the ongoing work with financial monitoring and reporting. Your role is broad and also includes ensuring internal quality by conducting internal controls, managing invoices, and being a purchasing coordinator. You also have an important responsibility when requests for public documents are made, ensuring that the correct documentation is provided.
You work independently and in collaboration with a controller and another financial administrator to contribute to the development of ongoing financial monitoring, reporting, and other related tasks. You take your own initiatives within the framework of the position to support your colleagues and initiate improvements to routines. When necessary, you inform about applicable rules, routines, and policies. The assignment includes responsibility for training and support within financial administration and reporting.
Your Workplace
Every year, we provide care and support to approximately 4,100 residents of Linköping, of which about 1,350 live in special housing and about 2,800 receive home care. Together with our 1,500 employees distributed across five departments, we work to maintain high quality and make a difference in Linköping's care and support.
You will belong to the Economics and Controlling unit, which consists of a chief financial officer, deputy chief financial officer, three controllers, and two financial administrators. The work group has extensive combined experience and competence and works closely in daily operations.
The workplace is centrally located at Repslagaregatan 6. We work in an activity-based manner and currently have our own functional room in the premises. The working hours for the position are scheduled from 8 AM to 5 PM with flexible working hours agreement.
Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for someone with an education in finance equivalent to at least upper secondary level or other education that the employer deems equivalent. For the position, you need to have previous experience in financial work, for example as a financial assistant, accounting assistant, or administrator with a financial focus. It is advantageous if you have knowledge and experience in ongoing bookkeeping and experience in invoice management. It is also advantageous if this experience has been gained within public operations.
We consider it advantageous if you have experience using Google Sheets or Excel. If you also have knowledge in compiling, analyzing, and presenting data, we see it as a plus. It is also advantageous if you have experience using the systems Unit4 and Qlik Sense.
You should be problem-solving and have analytical skills, be stable and stress-resistant. As a person, you are meticulous and aware of goals and quality standards. You work well with others and listen and communicate in a good and smooth manner. You are receptive to changes and adapt to new situations.
