The Individual and Family Care Services in Nordmaling Municipality consists of 35 employees and has been responsible for operations for Bjurholm Municipality since January 2024.

The operations are divided into five areas (VO): Children, Youth & Family, Adults, Open Care, Support & Care, and Management & Support.

We are now looking for a social worker in the Support & Care area. Currently, the area consists of 7 social workers - 4 working with Elderly Assistance, 2 working with LSS handling, and 1 housing adapter. The group is led with close support from a group leader and a manager.

The Role and Responsibilities

As a social worker in Elderly Assistance in Nordmaling and Bjurholm, you will play a crucial role in supporting our elderly citizens and ensuring they receive the help and services they need to live a dignified and independent life.

Your responsibilities include investigating, assessing, and making decisions about interventions according to the Social Services Act. You will primarily be a social worker for the elderly and will assess the individual's needs for services such as home care and special housing. The work also includes following up and re-evaluating previously made decisions. The work involves collaboration both within the group and with other professional roles and partners. You work from a holistic view of the person and meet the individual with the aim of strengthening their own ability.

Your Profile

The requirements for you to work as a case officer are that you have a degree in social work and a B driver's license as travel is included in the position. You should also have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.

It is advantageous if you have knowledge of IBIC and experience in authority exercise.

To qualify for the position of social worker in elderly assistance in Nordmaling and Bjurholm, you should possess the following qualities:
