Team Leader for Youth Centers in Skellefteå

Do you want to work with young people and be a reliable adult in their daily lives? We are currently looking for team leaders for several of our youth centers around Skellefteå municipality.

The youth centers are open meeting places for young people, primarily from grade 7 and up. Here, young people come to socialize, participate in activities, and meet adults who are present, listen, and set clear boundaries. The operation is drug-free and is based on a health-promoting perspective.

YOUR ROLE

As a team leader, you will be responsible, together with colleagues, for creating a safe, inclusive, and meaningful environment for the young people visiting the youth center. You will meet young people in everyday situations, participate in activities, and contribute to a positive and respectful atmosphere.

Your role includes being able to take initiative, collaborate with others, and be a stable adult who can set boundaries when necessary. You will also participate in joint training and professional development offered within the organization.

The work is scheduled for evenings and weekends, approximately 2–3 evenings per week.

YOUR COMPETENCE AND EXPERIENCE

To be considered for the role, you need to be available to work regularly on evenings and weekends. You can communicate in Swedish and English in everyday situations and have the ability to work in an environment where meeting young people is central.

We are looking for someone who is confident in themselves, can act steadily even in changing situations, and has the ability to distinguish between the issue and the person. You take initiative in everyday life, find it easy to collaborate, and treat both young people and colleagues with consideration and respect.

It is an advantage if you have experience working with young people in organized activities, such as at a youth center, in schools, or within community organizations. Education in child and youth studies or pedagogy, or previous experience in open youth work, is also seen as a plus. A driving license for manual transmission is advantageous, as well as knowledge of other languages than Swedish, such as sign language, Finnish, Sámi, or other languages.

For this job, you are required to submit a criminal record extract. It is valid for one year and must be renewed thereafter.
