We are seeking a personal assistant who wants to work part-time with a happy and social 10-year-old girl with extensive care needs living with her family in Vännäsby. She loves to spend time with loved ones, listen to and play music, be outdoors, and enjoy cozy movie nights on the couch.

As an assistant, you will become an invaluable part of her life and contribute to creating a functioning and meaningful everyday life. • 🚿 Support with personal hygiene and care.

• 🍽️ Assistance during meal situations, including tube feeding and inhalations.

• 👕 Assist with dressing and undressing.

• 🏃 Participate and support in physical activities and training.

• ♿ Help with transfers using aids such as a floor lift and standing scale.

• 🖼️ Support and actively assist in communication, for example by helping to interpret facial expressions, body language, and other non-verbal cues.

• 🏊‍♂️ Accompany on social activities, such as visits to the swimming pool.

• 🎲 Support during play and interaction with siblings.

You are a playful, positive, and flexible person who finds it easy to take responsibility and work independently. Previous experience in personal assistance or education in the field is an advantage.

We would like you to have:

• 💪 Good physical strength and endurance.

• 🚗 A valid driver's license and be comfortable driving the employer's car.

• 🗣️ Basic knowledge of Swedish, spoken and written.

• 🗂️ Knowledge of alternative communication such as picture support.

• 🏊 Swimming ability.

• 🚭 A smoke-free lifestyle.

• 📅 Start date: Immediately.

• 📊 Employment rate: 50–70%.

• ⏳ Agreement: Introductory shifts and approximately one month of hourly employment before the regular employment rate is assigned, provided that everything has gone well. This gives you a chance to feel secure and well-prepared for your new role.

• 🕒 Work shifts: Afternoon, evening, and daytime on weekends.

Recruitment Process

We continuously contact candidates who are relevant for a first interview. The position will be filled when we have found the right person, which may occur before the application deadline. Your application will be processed by staff at ENKV assistance, together with the employer, as well as any relatives, guardians, or other concerned parties. If the position involves working with a minor client, a police clearance certificate is always required.

Employment Conditions

To be employed with us, you must be at least 18 years old, be able to verify your identity, and show that you have the right to work in Sweden. Additionally, a valid BankID is required as both the employment contract and time reports are signed digitally.

➡️  To ensure that we maintain high quality in the assistance, newly hired employees will undergo a web-based introductory training (about 1 hour), preferably before the start of employment but no later than within a month from the start of employment. Read more about the training here.
