Our part of the city is located between the lakes Drevviken and Magelungen. Here, the Farsta district administration employs 1,400 dedicated staff who now need a new colleague. With us, you are close to both the subway and commuter trains, shops, and restaurants. And close to a swimming area in the summer and long-distance skating in the winter.
Description
The Assistance Unit for people with disabilities consists of a workgroup of 20 employees.
17 employees work as assistance officers, and we are divided into a children's group and an adult group. The unit also employs a coordinator who provides support to families with children with disabilities, a group leader, and a unit manager. We are now looking for a substitute for our adult group.
You will be part of a workgroup characterized by a strong user focus, good atmosphere, extensive experience, responsibility, generosity, and high ambitions. In addition to meaningful social work, you will receive an introduction and regular methodological support together with your colleagues. The unit is now looking for a temporary assistance officer for our adult group. We work in modern premises in Farsta center, close to the subway, shopping center, and beautiful walking paths.
Responsibilities
Our target group consists of people with disabilities aged 0-65 years.
As an assistance officer, your tasks will include investigating and making decisions according to SoL, the Social Services Act, and according to LSS, the Act on Support and Service for Persons with Disabilities. An important part of the job is to follow up on approved interventions. Our mission is to meet the individual’s need for interventions aimed at contributing to increased independence based on the individual’s circumstances. We place great importance on considering the individual's participation in the design of the intervention. We use the investigation method DUR.
As an officer, you will work both independently and in a structured manner by planning, organizing, and prioritizing your work well. You have a good ability to establish contact with people in vulnerable situations. You are calm, stable, and have the ability to maintain a realistic perspective on situations that arise in the daily work as an authority. You work well with complex issues and can quickly analyze situations and make decisions. You have good collaboration skills, are attentive, and flexible. In your work, you will collaborate with both colleagues in the unit and in the city and external partners such as healthcare, habilitation, psychiatry, and social insurance. In assistance investigations and complex cases, we apply co-handling for high legal security for the individual and support for you as an assistance officer.

Qualifications
You have a degree in social work or another higher education that is deemed equivalent by the employer. You have good knowledge of current legislation within LSS and/or SoL.
Your work is characterized by a user focus, good reception, and judgment, and you find it easy to make decisions. You are communicative and solution-oriented in meetings with clients, you see opportunities and are positive in your work. You have good collaboration skills and find it easy to build trusting relationships. You work both independently and in a structured manner by planning, organizing, and prioritizing your work well. You are relationship-building and have a good ability to establish contact with people in vulnerable situations. You are calm, stable, and have the ability to maintain a realistic perspective on situations that arise in the daily work as an authority.

The employment is a temporary position for 17 months.
