The Enskede-Årsta-Vantör District Administration in collaboration with the Education Administration (schools in Enskede, Årsta, and Vantör) is seeking a Leisure Guide.

Your role

The Leisure Guide's tasks are to be a resource in the district administration's and schools' promotional and preventive work.

In your role, you will be a bridge builder between operations, but the role primarily involves being an operational and active guide for children and youth to meaningful activities outside of school hours. This can concretely involve inviting associations and organizing activities in playgrounds, youth centers, and schools to support children and youth in accessing activities outside of school hours. It may also involve arranging activities between schools in the afternoon. You will capture interests among children and youth and support them in getting started with their interests.

You will be placed in the Playground unit within the district administration but will work closely with the schools in the area. You will also collaborate with various associations, the Culture Administration, and other internal actors, particularly the district's promotional and preventive operations such as SSPF-individual, the district's school social team, playgrounds, and youth centers.

Your tasks include developing working methods, routines, reporting, and maintaining statistics. You will be part of relevant networks and continuously follow up on results and collaboration forms.

Your qualifications and experience

We are looking for someone who has:

• Post-secondary education in social work or behavioral science, or other education deemed equivalent by the employer
• Experience working with children and youth (10-13 years) and knowledge of promotional and preventive work.

It is an advantage if you:

• are multilingual
• have training in motivational interviewing
• have experience leading cross-professional collaboration
• have experience from the association life
• have experience in leading and supporting children or youth

We seek someone who has a strong sensitivity to the needs of children and youth regarding leisure and relationships. You should have an interest and understanding of what can encourage children and youth to take the step into structured leisure activities. You have a good ability to build relationships with both young people and adults and are creative, finding new paths and solutions. You have a strong commitment and contribute to a good collaborative climate with colleagues, partners, and participants. You organize your work independently but in collaboration with other actors such as guardians, schools, administration, and civil society. You are resourceful, pedagogical, and proactive. You build on and utilize the competencies, strengths, and engagement of young people in your work.

Enskede Årsta Vantör is one of 11 district administrations in the City of Stockholm. As part of the City of Stockholm, the administration offers preschool and leisure, care for the elderly and disabled, social services, preventive and safety-promoting work, urban development, and park maintenance to our 105,000 residents living in the district. We face exciting challenges as the Enskede Årsta Vantör district grows and entirely new neighborhoods are built. Approximately 18,000 new apartments are planned by 2030.
