Job Responsibilities

Your task as a camp leader at Udden's camp is to be responsible for children aged 9-13 years and to plan and lead activities for this participant group. Camp involves round-the-clock activities for the youth and us leaders. As a leader, you will live and work at the camp in Värmland together with the children. Therefore, you need to be comfortable being away from home for at least 6 weeks. A large part of the work is to meet the participants' needs and be able to guide them in their decisions. To meet this, we believe that you as a person need to be secure in yourself, your leadership role, and be able to set boundaries. You also need to feel comfortable in more life-oriented conversations, which we believe you as a social worker have valuable experience in.

Experience

You who are applying should have a great interest in being outdoors, or experience in outdoor education, as most of our activities are conducted outdoors. We believe that you who have experience as a social worker would fit this role as the work with youth requires difficult boundary setting and relationship building. We believe that you who have experience as a social worker can facilitate the type of deeper conversations that often occur at camp when participants feel safe. Activities that we do include hiking, building rafts, climbing, swimming, and cooking outdoors. We will also have artistic activities such as theater, dance, and singing. Disco, football tournaments, and themed days are also on the schedule.

About the company

Utepedagogik Sverige AB conducts camp activities at several different camps across Sweden for children and youth aged 9-16 years, focusing on adventure and our activities are oriented towards outdoor educational activities. The cornerstones of Utepedagogik Sverige AB's pedagogical camp activities are: safety, quality, security, and community, as well as trained adults with a broad competence serving as good role models. Employment conditions

The position is a full-time job. You must be able to attend our training days on-site at the camp in Värmland from April 30 to May 3, and June 6 to 11. During the summer, you need to be able to work and thus be away from home for at least six weeks during the period from June 12 to August 16.
