This advertisement is aimed at those who have a strong commitment to children who, for various reasons, cannot live at home. We are looking for someone who wants to follow children's development over time and ensure good upbringing conditions and good cooperation with children's biological parents and networks. The work is done in close collaboration with colleagues, foster homes, schools, the region, family therapists, and the child's family network. The work can be complex at times and requires that documentation is legally secure and that you are meticulous and structured. We have a good collaboration with open care and implement Signs of Safety throughout the department.

Target Group of the Unit

The target group of the unit is children and young people aged 0-18 years, and in some cases 21 years, who are subject to investigation and follow-up of open care interventions and placements. Our unit consists of 22 employees, social workers, senior social workers, and foster care secretaries. Team leaders are available for close management and lead the daily work together with the unit manager who has overall responsibility.

Foster Care Team

The unit has a foster care team whose mission is to develop work with placed children and foster homes. The focus is on continued legally secure processing with good quality, recruitment of and support for foster homes. Continued development work of the operations and a good working environment.

Job Description

Your role will be to, with the support of the team leader and senior social worker, handle, follow, and be responsible for the placed children. You will be an active co-handler and together with your colleagues drive and be responsible for cases. You will focus on qualitative processing and legally secure assessments. You contribute your competence and knowledge of social work and authority exercise to a social service that is based on the best interests of the child, and take part in and develop routines and methods based on evidence and proven experience for the placed children. You understand the importance of developing and collaborating with foster care secretaries for the best interests of the placed children.

Your Competence

We are looking for someone who is a trained social worker and preferably has several years of experience working with authority exercise for children and young people. You need to have a good ability to express yourself in speech and writing as documentation is an important part of our work.

Knowledge of BBIC, Signs of Safety, and Conversations with Children is advantageous for the position.

Personal suitability is of great importance.
