Within the Adult Support unit, several different operations are conducted, including activity houses, housing support, personal representatives, and the housing team. Our target group primarily consists of individuals aged 18–65 who need support through our interventions, whether short-term or long-term.
We are now looking for an engaged Housing Consultant who wants to be an important part of a growing Housing Team. Here you will have a stimulating and developing role, where you can contribute and help shape working methods, collaboration, and routines in the new team.
In the role of Housing Consultant within the Housing Team, you will have a socially important mission, and the purpose is to create sustainable solutions that enable tenants to maintain their housing.
Together with colleagues and in close collaboration with external partners, including landlords and the Enforcement Authority, you will work to prevent evictions and strengthen individuals' opportunities for long-term housing.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Housing Consultant, you will play an important role in shaping and implementing the eviction prevention work moving forward and executing the eviction prevention work in the Housing Social Team. You will actively contribute to shaping working methods and interventions going forward and work practically to support Alingsås residents who need help to maintain their housing. The work includes both preventive measures and handling internal and external disturbance cases.
Your job responsibilities include, among other things:
- Working closely with a colleague with a corresponding assignment
- Contributing to the development, planning, and implementation of the eviction prevention work within the team
- Participating in the revision, development, and follow-up of routines and working methods within the organization
- Maintaining extensive contacts and collaboration with external actors and authorities
- Contact with external partners
- Follow-up of incoming disturbances, payment orders, etc.
- Home visits in connection with preventive work may occur
- Providing support to individuals during moving in and out of housing, from contract signing and throughout the entire housing process
You will belong to a growing team that will work closely together to best assist Alingsås residents in need of support. The work is varied and combines strategic issues with practical client-related interventions. You will continuously collaborate with landlords, collection agencies, the Enforcement Authority, the Rent Tribunal, and other relevant actors.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who has:
- Degree in Social Work or equivalent education
- Relevant work experience
- Driver's license (B)
It is an advantage if you:
- Have prior knowledge and understanding of rental law
- Knowledge of target groups within addiction and/or social issues
As a person, we want you to have a strong commitment and drive to help the residents of Alingsås who need support in a vulnerable situation. You are confident in yourself and can work independently but also see the importance of collaboration for the client's best interest. We hope you contribute to the positive work environment in the group and that you are flexible when the work requires it.
You have a good command of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, and have a good ability to express yourself in writing.
Great importance will be placed on personal suitability.
