Do you want to be part of a dynamic and development-oriented management group at BOU2 in Hjällbo? As one of our senior social workers is advancing in their career, we are now looking for a senior social worker who wants to develop in their role and contribute to the development of the unit.

The Department of Children and Youth North-East consists of two reception units and seven investigation units. In North-East, we work based on the Signs of Safety approach and use various methods in our investigation work, including EARL, SAVERY, MPV, and LÖSA. We conduct risk and safety assessments as well as uniform and legally secure assessments, and we are prepared to act swiftly in emergency situations. As a senior social worker, you will lead social workers based on applicable legislation and be responsible for the distribution of reports/applications, along with the unit manager, ensuring the legality of the work. In your role, you will serve as an accessible and close support, lead, coach, and provide methodological guidance in daily work. You will follow and develop group processes and, together with your two colleagues, plan methodological development for the unit. You will represent social services in individual committees, social boards, and in legal processes in administrative courts and appeal courts. You will stay updated on current research and environmental monitoring.

The unit consists of a unit manager, three senior social workers, and 15 social workers, divided into three groups. You and your colleagues will help maintain structure and quality in cases and ensure that legality is upheld. You have the opportunity for joint methodological planning once a week. You will collaborate closely with senior social workers in other units in Hjällbo, characterized by good cohesion and high competence. It is an exciting and stimulating operation where we collaborate and have a good working climate. We have a FAS system that allows us to structure and plan our work satisfactorily. The assignment also includes Smart effective working hours (6:2), which provides opportunities for reflection, recovery, and professional development, which we see as a work task.

Based on the assignment, you will collaborate with other actors, both internally and externally. You will be part of the internal senior network of Children and Youth North-East, which enables good collegial support, as well as the power to drive the development work of children and youth, and also participate in Gothenburg City's joint senior network within the Children and Youth Authority.

You will come to an exciting district that makes the work both varied and stimulating. You will be offered external supervision together with senior colleagues and individual professional development based on interest and needs.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a trained social worker. You have several years of experience in the Children and Youth Authority. You need to have experience in a leadership position. You are well-grounded in the legislation concerning interventions within the Social Services Act (SoL) and current coercive legislations (LVU). We also see it as meritorious if you have knowledge of the documentation system Treserva and leadership training.

You have an open and positive attitude and always prioritize the clients' needs as the basis for your actions. You are structured yet flexible, and you thrive when occasionally juggling multiple tasks. As the work can be intense at times, it requires you to be stress-resistant. We wish for you to have the ability to meet individuals in a pedagogical manner depending on their needs, experiences, and wishes, and to collaborate in a solution-focused way both internally and externally. You have self-awareness and can reflect on your own leadership.
