Are you studying and looking for a meaningful part-time job alongside your studies? Are you interested in the labor market, career development, and coaching – and want to make a real difference for people? Then the role of Job Matcher might be just right for you!

StudentConsulting is now looking for someone who wants to work part-time alongside their studies and who wants to support job seekers towards employment. The position is characterized by a clear results focus, where the goal is for the participant to reach work or education as quickly and sustainably as possible.

As a Job Matcher, you will work closely with the participant and together set a clear plan towards the individual's goals.

The work is carried out through:

  • Individual coaching conversations
  • Group activities such as workshops
  • Individual tasks related to job seeking
  • Matching with employers
  • Ongoing follow-up and motivation throughout the process

The role also includes contact with employers, some administration, and outreach work.

You will work independently and in close collaboration with another Job Matcher, where you share responsibility for the assignment in the Gothenburg region. You will also be part of a national network of Job Matchers within StudentConsulting and report to the business manager.

The working hours are mainly scheduled for Monday to Thursday from 08:00 to 12:00. The work takes place on-site at our headquarters at Lilla Bommen and at our office in Sisjön. You have some opportunity to influence your own planning and working hours.

The position is planned to start in mid-January. You need to be available for training during weeks 3 and 4.

THIS IS WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

REQUIREMENTS to be considered for the position:

  • You are a student at a college or university (at least 50%) and have AT LEAST 6 months left of your studies
  • Meet either alternative 1 or 2:
  • 1.
    • Have completed at least 180 higher education credits at the university level (120 credits according to the previous system) in: working life, organization and personnel work, study and career guidance, business administration, work psychology, behavioral science, occupational therapy, or within the framework of the social work education, or another relevant field.
    • AND at least two years of work experience equivalent to full-time.
  • 2.
    • Have completed at least one (1) year of full-time studies at the post-secondary level with passing results.
    • AND at least three (3) years of work experience equivalent to full-time in any of the following professions or tasks mentioned below:
      • Leadership with personnel responsibility.
      • Recruitment.
      • Transition work for job seekers.
      • Study and career guidance.
      • Handling personnel issues (not just personnel administration).
      • Work with labor market and employment issues.
      • Work with social and group psychology.
      • Career guidance.
  • Can provide certificates showing current studies, previous work experience, and previous completed studies.
  • Can work at least 16 hours per week.
  • Can work on-site 2-3 days a week at our office in Stockholm city.
  • You have a very good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish and English.
  • Additional knowledge of one more language is an advantage.
  • What we are looking for:

    • We would like you to have previously worked with coaching, mentoring, guidance, and/or recruitment and staffing.
