We develop sustainable living environments by both creating new homes and managing properties. As one of Sweden's largest players in both housing development and property management, we serve housing cooperatives, companies, and public property owners. Regardless of your interests or goals, you are always welcome with us. Are you an economist who enjoys both numbers and people? Then we have a job for you!

This is Market Area West

We are now looking for a colleague who wants to strengthen our economics team in Market Area West – a group of just over 20 colleagues working as economists, accounting assistants, and administrators. At Riksbyggen, our economists work broadly with accounting and provide advisory services in economic matters to our clients, who are mostly housing cooperatives.

You will collaborate with our technical managers and other delivery units to ensure that together you can provide long-term quality management services that create added value for our clients.

With Us, You Make a Difference

You will be the economist for several of our clients, primarily consisting of housing cooperatives but also commercial property owners and municipalities. You will have a lot of contact with the chairpersons and boards of housing cooperatives. You will work in an advisory role with many client contacts, identifying new needs and developing long-term cooperation with the client.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Ongoing bookkeeping for several housing cooperatives and community associations
  • Preparation and presentation of budgets and financial statements at the associations' board meetings
  • Financial monitoring of operations
  • Loan procurement and assisting with financial planning
  • Developing cooperation with clients by understanding their needs and offering smart solutions
  • Being the client's natural contact person for financial matters

You will be the point of contact for boards, housing cooperative members, suppliers, authorities, and others regarding financial questions.

You Contribute with Your Expertise and Engagement

We are looking for someone with a degree in economics from a university or equivalent. You have worked for 2-3 years in various areas of economics and have experience in financial reporting/accounting.

You are interested in client contacts and have the ability to act professionally in client meetings. You can create an open and trusting dialogue and have good collaboration with clients and colleagues. It is important that you can take a broader perspective and work towards sustainable economic management together with the client.

It is an advantage if you have worked with housing cooperatives and are familiar with the K3 regulations. A driver's license (B) is a must as you will sometimes need to travel to our clients within the market area.

  • You are structured and self-driven
  • You master Swedish in speech and writing
  • You have a B driver's license

The position is a permanent full-time position based in Gothenburg, but you will also work with colleagues in Borås. You will be part of an experienced and helpful team that enjoys having fun at work. We offer flexible working hours and the possibility of remote work one day a week.
