Job Description

Within critical transport operations, there is an extensive camera network used by several different actors to manage alarms, communication, and operational leadership in both acute and preventive situations.

The video material currently used mainly comes from fixed cameras at facilities. The next step is to gradually connect cameras from mobile units such as vehicles and vessels. Infrastructure and system environments are being digitized, with the goal of flexibly and scalably realizing new functions for end-users.

The project primarily works with applications developed in .NET Core, intended to run in Linux-based container environments. If necessary, other languages can be used where very high performance is required. All systems are operated on-prem. The working method is agile and follows DevOps principles.

We are looking for a methodical and experienced backend developer with experience working in technically complex environments with many stakeholders. You have solid experience in developing stable, high-performing, and distributed systems with high code quality.

The system being developed is an expert system within critical operations, where reliability and performance are crucial.

You will work on a project that is part of a larger team consisting of developers, systems specialists, solution architects, and technical leaders. The group currently consists of about 15 people with high technical competence.

Mandatory Requirements

• At least 5 years of documented work experience in backend development over the last 7 years
• At least 5 years of documented experience in backend development in C#/.NET Core, of which at least 2 years with .NET 6.0 or later
• Experience with at least 3 different shell/automation languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, or equivalent) in the last 6 years
• Experience with at least 3 other programming languages (e.g., Go, Java, C++, Node/TypeScript, Rust, or similar) in the last 6 years
• At least 1 project in the last 3 years with many (approx. 10) modules/containers where the candidate has had an active developer role in all
• At least 1 year of experience building and configuring CI/CD pipelines
• At least 1 year of experience building and operating Docker containers
• At least 1 year of experience with event-driven systems (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ, MQTT, SignalR, or similar)
• At least 1 year of experience designing and implementing REST APIs

Desirable Requirements

• Experience with streaming video, e.g., H.264 over RTSP
• Experience with C++ development in conjunction with .NET
• Experience with SOAP-based APIs
• Experience with mTLS authentication
• Experience with streaming encryption of data
