Support Assistant Wanted for Functional Support

Functional Support is one of the three operational areas within the Welfare Administration and is tasked with implementing decisions made under the LSS Act, primarily decisions regarding housing with special services, personal assistance, and daily activities.

The goal of the support provided is to promote equality in living conditions and full participation in community life so that individuals granted assistance can live like others.

Job Responsibilities

You will be responsible for working with individuals to establish and follow up on implementation plans, other social documentation, and other administrative tasks/responsibilities such as schedules, purchases, orders, health, and safety, among others through delegation.

Together with your colleagues, you will perform everyday and planned support interventions and activities with users, as well as support and motivate them in daily activities at home and during leisure time. You will assist with everyday chores and activities. You can create and maintain structure, plan and prepare meals, provide support in personal care, and medication delegation is required. The work may involve working both alone and with others. Working hours and tasks are varied as we provide services around the clock. You may also work in multiple locations.

You will drive development work forward with colleagues according to established goals, methods, quality requirements, and other guidelines. Collaborating with the individual's network, other staff, and other partners is an important part of the work.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a high school diploma in either the Health and Care program with specialization in disability or psychiatry, the Child and Leisure program with a focus on social work or educational work, or another equivalent education that the employer deems comparable. Experience in psychiatry and knowledge of NPF, AKK is a plus.

To work in health and care, you must be at least 18 years old. It is important that you can professionally meet people based on their individual circumstances and needs. As a person, you are calm, flexible, and stress-resistant and can maintain given structures. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

For the job, sufficient knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form is required to communicate with users, perform documentation, and obtain medication delegation.

A valid driver's license (category B) is required for the position.
