We are looking for a social worker for the establishment of school social teams in Sollefteå Municipality's primary schools.

A school social team consists of staff from the school and social services, where we work together to strengthen the conditions for students to achieve their educational goals, create a calm and safe school environment, increase student attendance, create study peace, and provide support to break an unfavorable development.

You will carry out interventions to promote mental health and prevent ill health among children and young people. You will be responsible for implementing the Train, which is a violence prevention initiative in primary schools where students, school staff, and parents receive various training on how to prevent violence. The work aims to create a safe school environment where every child can feel secure with the adults in school so that they can turn to an adult when difficult situations arise.

Together with the school social team, you will work with a preventive perspective to early identify and coordinate interventions based on identified needs. This may involve crime prevention work, parenting support, or ANDTS.

You will belong to the school social team, which has a cross-professional working method where you as a social worker will assist with preventive and trust-building work in the school environment. Together, you will offer support measures to guardians and facilitate communication and collaboration between guardians and other actors around the individual student, such as healthcare and the leisure sector.

The work will be based in primary schools and led by the principal. You will have your employment and immediate supervisor at our outpatient unit within social services.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

To conduct motivating, social change work with individual students and, when necessary, contribute to a smooth and well-functioning collaboration between the school and social services. This will happen together with the various professionals in the school who have good knowledge of the student's needs. The school social team should help identify needs for the student and remove obstacles. This may mean that you have an extra responsibility for implementing the universal violence prevention work through the Train.

Another part is to support constructive communication within the family and guide parents so they can support their child regarding schooling. To be involved in coordinating the support that the student receives, and if necessary, it may also be relevant to initiate new contacts and advise on the support available.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a social worker. You have solid experience in collaboration with various operational areas and experience working with children and young people. You are used to working systematically to map children's needs and have an easy time creating good relationships with children and parents in psychosocial change work.

You should be able to work both independently and in a team with several around the student. You need to have very good collaboration skills with a well-developed network thinking. You should be able to drive your work independently. You need to be proactive, outgoing, and a good listener.

We are looking for someone with a good approach, who bases their work on everyone's equal value, has a respectful attitude, an interest in working with children and young people, and good communication skills.
