The Individual and Family Care in Ånge is therefore looking for a dedicated and experienced social worker/child investigator to complete our team. Social Worker - Children and FamilyJob Responsibilities

In the role of social worker with us, you will support and assist individuals and families to create long-term positive changes. You will be part of a developing work environment where we focus on being accessible to our citizens while ensuring that social services are provided in accordance with legislation. As a social worker in the Children and Family unit, you will investigate and make decisions about interventions for children and families according to the Social Services Act (SoL), the Care of Young People Act (LVU), and other relevant laws. The work involves assessing the needs of children and families for support or protection, conducting investigations, following up on approved interventions, and collaborating with external actors such as schools, healthcare, and the police.

Additional Information

We offer a permanent position at 100%. A probationary period may apply. We offer subsidized wellness benefits worth 2000 SEK/year through the Epassi service and a wellness hour of 60 minutes/week. Qualifications


  • Degree in Social Work.
  • Experience in public authority work is an advantage.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team.
  • Good communication skills in both spoken and written form.
  • Ability to build trusting relationships.
  • Flexibility and commitment to developing social services in accordance with the new Social Services Act.
  • Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
