Description

We are looking for guest harbor/tourist hosts for all our harbors in the municipality from Bovallstrand in the north to Malmön in the south.

The harbor is the showcase for the destination and an obvious contact for visitors who want information and service. As a guest harbor/tourist host, you will welcome and meet our visitors in a friendly manner and be an ambassador for Sotenäs municipality and the destination.

Common for the harbors:

• Booking of spots is done via dockspot.com
• Payment for the spot is made via dockspot.com or at the harbor office
• The staff is responsible for harbor services such as shower, WC, washing machine/dryer, fresh water, electricity, wifi, garbage, hosting/information, safety-fire, electricity, and lifeguarding.

Bovallstrand Guest Harbor

In the outer part of Bottnefjorden lies Bovallstrand Guest Harbor with about 70 spots. The harbor office is located just before the service facility. Open every day during the period week 25-33.

As a harbor/tourist host, you will work independently during your shift with your own responsibility and support from the management in Hunnebostrand or elsewhere. There are 2 people sharing the work during the summer.

Hasselösund Guest Harbor

On the northern side of the island of Smögen lies the genuine and family-friendly fishing village of Hasselösund. A quieter part of Smögen with about 70 spots. The harbor office is located in the service facility. Open every day during the period week 25-33.

As a harbor/tourist host, you will work independently during your shift with your own responsibility and support from the management in Smögen or elsewhere. There are 2 people sharing the work during the summer.

Malmön Guest Harbor

Located in the bay between Malmön and Kalven. Entrance to the harbor is from the north with about 50 spots. The harbor office is located in the new service building centrally in the harbor. Open every day during the period week 25-33.

As a harbor/tourist host, you will work independently during your shift with your own responsibility and support from the management in Hunnebostrand or elsewhere. There are 2 people sharing the work during the summer.

Hunnebostrand Guest Harbor

Hunnebostrand is an old fishing village located on the beach of the homestead Hunnebo, hence the name. The guest harbor is one of the most renowned on the west coast. There is a large shopping selection, groceries, ATM, restaurants. Here there are about 200 spots.

The harbor office is located next to the service facility. Open every day during the period week 25-33.

As a harbor/tourist host, you will work independently with 2-3 colleagues during your shift with your own responsibility and support from the management or elsewhere. There are 5-6 people sharing the work during the summer.

Kungshamn Guest Harbor

Kungshamn - formerly Gravarne. Many still prefer to use the old name. The coastal community of Kungshamn is located at the tip of the Sotenäset peninsula and is the main town in Sotenäs with about 100 spots.

The harbor office is located in the service facility. Open every day during the period week 25-33.

As a harbor/tourist host, you will work independently for most of your shift with your own responsibility and support from the management in Smögen or elsewhere. There are 3-4 people sharing the work during the summer.

Smögen Guest Harbor

The guest harbor is located by the famous Smögenbryggan in Smögen and has about 120 spots.

The harbor office is located at the beginning of the pier/Ringareskäret. Open every day during the period week 25-33.

As a harbor host, you will work with 2-3 colleagues during your shift with your own responsibility and support from the management or elsewhere. There are 5-6 people sharing the work during the summer.

Job Responsibilities

Service, hosting, and good reception are key principles for the work. You will welcome and meet our visitors in the harbor and to the destination in a friendly manner.

You should be able to provide information about the destination and the region. Stay updated regarding events and activities, attractions, and points of interest.

You should also ensure that those using the harbor make payments and follow our guest harbor rules.

Keep track and ensure that safety in the harbor is followed regarding fire, lifeguarding, and electricity.

In some positions, maintenance of our hygiene facility is also included.

Some of those we hire will have the opportunity to work weekends and evenings before and after the peak season and will help to manage/distribute the daily work.

Qualifications

You should be service-oriented, have a sense of responsibility, initiative, a forward-thinking attitude, and enjoy meeting new customers/people.

We prefer that the applicant is at least 18 years old, but we also accept those who have not yet turned 18 but are qualified.

Conditions

Scheduled working hours occur during the day, evenings, and weekends.
