Job Responsibilities

The tasks vary between different workstations within clinical chemistry and transfusion medicine such as general chemistry, hematology, coagulation, immunochemistry, and blood group serology, pre-analysis, sampling, and tapping operations. During spring and summer, we also analyze pollen, which we are the only ones doing in our region.

Our operations are an important part of the healthcare chain, and we operate around the clock. The working hours for the current positions vary between day, evening, night, and weekend.

About You

We are looking for a licensed biomedical analyst or someone with a similar scientific education. You are curious, responsible, and ready to take on various tasks within clinical chemistry and transfusion medicine. We welcome both experienced practitioners and newly graduated talents who want to grow with us.

The work requires you to be curious, meticulous, and well-structured. You enjoy working in a team, are flexible, and bring new thoughts and ideas to the organization. Experience in clinical chemistry and transfusion medicine is an advantage. If you are newly graduated, you will receive good support in your work and valuable experience with us. We place great importance on personal suitability.

At the Diagnostic Center, more than six million analyses, examinations, and treatments are performed annually. Our regional operations are located at the hospitals in Kalmar, Oskarshamn, and Västervik.

We have 260 employees working in the units of clinical pathology, clinical microbiology, clinical chemistry and transfusion medicine, clinical physiology and nuclear medicine, infection control and healthcare hygiene, as well as biobank and tissue center. We are a scientific competence center and active in several research areas. Here at the Diagnostic Center, we perform meaningful work of high quality and offer good service.
