Do you want to contribute your communication skills to an organization that affects many people? The city of Västerås is now looking for a temporary communicator focusing on the health and social care administration.

Your tasks

You will plan, coordinate, and work practically with communication within the health and social care administration's operations. In this role, you will analyze communication needs, identify target groups, and formulate messages tailored to the purpose and audience. You will choose appropriate channels and activities and contribute to a clear, accessible, and cohesive communication effort.

The work is carried out in close collaboration with managers and experts in the organization. You will develop communication plans and support the implementation of communication initiatives, as well as follow up and evaluate the results.

Your qualifications

We are looking for someone with a university degree in media or communication studies, or another qualification that the employer deems equivalent. You have knowledge of relevant digital communication channels and a good ability to communicate in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

You can transform overarching goals into clear communication activities and have experience in initiating, planning, implementing, and following up on communication work at both strategic and practical levels. Experience in communication work within the public sector or politically governed organizations is an advantage, as is experience in working with and creating content for digital channels.

The unit consists of communication managers, communicators, communication strategists, and a digital team. Additional information

In connection with the interview, you will need to prove your citizenship. You can do this with a passport or a personal certificate along with an ID document. If you are not a citizen of Sweden, the EU, EEA, or Switzerland, you must show that you have a valid work permit or are exempt from the requirement to have a work permit. Employment can only occur after verification of the work permit, which is required under the Aliens Ordinance. All offers of recruitment and advertising assistance are declined.

The position is a temporary position for 6 months.
