The Social Administration in Älmhult Municipality is now seeking summer substitutes for care and support for the summer of 2026. The Social Administration is tasked with meeting people of all ages and life situations, whether it involves care and support or assistance and services. We are available around the clock and support daily life for children and families, the elderly, people with disabilities, and those who need home healthcare. If you want a meaningful job and make a difference in people's everyday lives, then you are the one we are looking for!

Due to its geographical location along the main railway line, Älmhult Municipality has very good commuting opportunities across county borders. With direct trains, it takes 35 minutes to Växjö and less than an hour and a half to Malmö.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Home Care - Work in home care suits you who enjoy a mobile and independent job with a lot of personal responsibility. You primarily assist elderly people in their own homes with personal care, hygiene, showering, and service tasks such as shopping, laundry, cleaning, and responding to safety alarms.

Special Housing for the Elderly - Work in a special housing for the elderly suits you who want to work closely with the elderly in their daily lives at the residence. The work is very varied. You will help with social activities, personal care, hygiene, showering, and medication.

QUALIFICATIONS

We believe that you enjoy freedom under responsibility, that you are flexible, and that you like social work. For all areas, it applies that you as a person are solution-focused and can work independently. You are responsible, reliable, and good at creating good relationships while supporting individuals to have a good everyday life.

You do not need to have experience/education in care work to apply for a summer job with us. However, we primarily seek those who are trained nursing assistants or alternatively have ongoing education in nursing programs, nursing programs, or other suitable care education.

We are looking for you who are at least 18 years old and enjoy working with people. For certain positions, a B driver's license for manual transmission is required.

The working hours are scheduled, which may involve day, evening, and weekend shifts. There are also positions that only involve night work.
