We belong to the Environmental and Urban Planning Office, which is one of our six administrations in Lidingö City. About 40 employees work with urban planning, building permits, cartography, environmental issues, health protection, food control, and housing adaptation. Here, great expertise and many professional categories come together, creating a work environment with much exchange and learning.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We in the food group need reinforcement for a year as one of our food inspectors will go on parental leave. As a food inspector with us, you will:

  • Conduct planned inspections of food establishments based on food legislation.
  • Write reports, follow up, and plan supervision.
  • Investigate complaints and suspected food poisoning.
  • Provide advice and information to food entrepreneurs and the public.

QUALIFICATIONS

For the position, we are looking for someone with a university degree focused on food, such as a food agronomist or another equivalent education. Experience in municipal food control is an advantage. Good Swedish in speech and writing is a requirement, and English is desirable. Furthermore, you should have good computer skills, and having a driver's license can facilitate the job, but it is not a requirement.

The city applies individual salary setting.

The position is a temporary contract until December 31, 2026, with a possibility of extension. Start date according to agreement.
