About the position

We are now looking for nurses for both the Brachy Unit and External Radiation Therapy. To work here, you need to undergo assignment education/specialist training in radiation therapy. Upcoming course starts are week 9 and week 17 of 2026.

Brachy Unit

As a specialist nurse in the Brachy Unit, you work in a highly specialized care environment where you are responsible for providing individualized radiation therapy and working with high oncological care. You will receive patients and prepare them for treatment, assist doctors during surgeries and ultrasound examinations, and provide brachytherapy after completing dose planning. The work involves organizing and managing sterile equipment as well as other technical equipment used in operating rooms. The position entails close collaboration with anesthesia and postoperative staff, doctors, and physicists, where you become an important part of a smaller team of 2–3 nurses who together create safety for the patient throughout the care process.

External Radiation Therapy

As a specialist nurse in External Radiation Therapy, you work to provide radiation therapy and oncological care in a high-tech environment. The department consists of 8 linear accelerators with associated equipment, which means you work daily with advanced technical equipment. The nursing work includes managing symptoms and side effects from the disease and treatment. We work in multiprofessional teams that are based on close collaboration and good communication to achieve a safe environment during the patient's time with us in external radiation therapy.
