Psychiatric Specialist Clinic Värmdö is Hiring a Specialist Doctor/Consultant!
Psychiatry South Stockholm strives to be a leading example in Swedish psychiatry.
We do this by working person-centered, offering the right competence for the patient's needs, emphasizing the application of evidence-based guidelines and care programs. We continue to invest in development work in the areas of patient safety, care processes, and our most important resource, our employees. We are over 1000 dedicated employees who provide patients with good, safe, and equitable care.
Now we are entering a new era! In the autumn of 2025, Stockholm County's Healthcare Area (SLSO) will launch Psychosis Care Stockholm – a newly formed organization that gathers all psychosis outpatient and inpatient care units within SLSO into a common operation.
About the Psychiatric Specialist Clinic Värmdö
The clinic in Värmdö is a general psychiatric operation, which means that we assess, investigate, and treat patients with most psychiatric diagnoses, based on our geographical catchment area. The clinic is well-staffed and can offer a wide range of psychological treatment interventions and neuropsychiatric assessments without long waiting times. We have a close collaboration with primary care, addiction clinics, and social services in the municipality.
The clinic is located near the idyllic Gustavsberg harbor, with good commuting connections, about 30 minutes travel time by bus from Slussen. There are several restaurants, cafes, and nature is close by.
Your Role as a Specialist Doctor/Consultant
As a specialist doctor/consultant, you are responsible for your patients' care and have overall responsibility for their treatment in line with diagnosis-specific care processes. Collaboration with other professional categories is characterized by flexible and informal consultations when necessary. You are also expected to mentor doctors in training. You work closely with care neighbors and other stakeholders based on the individual patient's needs. You actively contribute to the development of the clinic. Documentation is done in the Take Care journal system.
Our Expectations of You
You are driven by the desire to provide the best care to those who need it most. You thrive in differential diagnostic work and identifying the right intervention for the right person. You are engaged in your own continuing education and professional development and contribute to the clinic's ongoing development. You contribute to a good working environment and are good at communicating and collaborating with colleagues, patients, and care neighbors. You work efficiently, structured, and independently and can be flexible in your working methods.
Furthermore, you are a licensed doctor with specialist competence in psychiatry. Experience in general psychiatric outpatient care is considered an asset. Good language and computer skills are a requirement. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
What Can We Offer You?
The position is a permanent full-time employment, 40 hours/week. Start date according to agreement.
We offer the opportunity to work in a workplace that allows for personal and professional development at both the individual and group levels. We provide a good working environment where we together ensure that patients receive the best possible care.
As an employer, we care about our employees' health and well-being and offer, among other things, flexible hours, wellness hours, and an annual wellness allowance of 5000 SEK.
Does This Sound Interesting?
You apply for the position with a CV, cover letter, and certificates.
Warm welcome with your application! The position will be filled on the condition that it is not needed for internal relocation, according to current regulations.
