Care Assistant to BUP 24/7 Care Unit 2
Are you passionate about helping children and adolescents like we are? Come and be a part of our wonderful team! BUP 24/7 Care Unit 2 is now looking for a permanent care assistant for day and evening shifts, as well as one for night shifts.
BUP Stockholm Acute and 24/7 Care section consists of an acute unit and three 24/7 care units. Most of the operations are located in Södermalm, near Södersjukhuset, and one care department is located at S:t Görans Hospital in Kungsholmen.
Unit 2 in Södermalm has ten care places, and here children and adolescents with various mental illnesses and conditions are treated. The unit has access to a garden plot, gym, day care, and school. We provide National Highly Specialized Care (NHV) for patients with severe self-harming behavior from all over the country, which includes an intensive and comprehensive care program based on Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). The unit employs doctors, nurses, caregivers, care assistants, psychologists, and social workers. All staff participate in a ten-day DBT-based foundational training, as well as other continuous education and supervision.
Job Description
The tasks include psychiatric treatment work aimed at increasing patients' skills regarding emotional regulation, relationships, mindfulness, and crisis management. This may involve supporting patients in generalizing skills in everyday life and crisis situations and achieving their long-term goals. In addition to treatment work, regular practical tasks on a psychiatric care unit are included, and you will also participate in and initiate activities with the patients. Documentation is done in the TakeCare journal system.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with a degree in care assistance with proof of protected professional title. You should have prior experience working as a care assistant in psychiatry. It is highly meritorious if you have worked in child and adolescent psychiatry. You must speak fluent Swedish.

You are also service-oriented, calm, attentive, and accommodating in your interactions. You have the interest, willingness, and ability to help others and strive to deliver solutions.

Employment Type
The position consists of two permanent full-time positions, one for day and evening shifts and one for night shifts. Start as soon as possible by agreement.

BUP Acute Unit is part of BUP Stockholm. Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in Stockholm (BUP) offers specialized psychiatric care for children and adolescents under 18 years of age within the Stockholm region. We are part of the Stockholm County healthcare area, which is a provider within Region Stockholm. Together, we within BUP have over 1,200 employees who meet over 22,000 children, adolescents, and their families each year.
