Healthcare Assistant at the Dermatology Clinic in Västervik Hospital

We are now looking for a healthcare assistant to the dermatology clinic at Västervik Hospital.

At our dermatology clinic, you will be offered a varied and stimulating job as a healthcare assistant, where you will become an important part of an engaged and professional team.

The dermatology clinic conducts diagnostics and treatment of skin diseases as well as diseases that fall under the concept of STIs. The operations are characterized by breadth and variation, and we meet patients of all ages with different care needs.

We perform, among other things, light treatments, bath treatments, dressings of hard-to-heal wounds, and other specialized treatments. As a healthcare assistant, you will assist doctors during both outpatient visits and outpatient surgeries. You will also be responsible for various treatments and work closely with doctors and nurses. Associated administrative tasks are also a natural part of the job.

The working hours are scheduled during the day, Monday to Friday. Occasional evening appointments may occur.

About You

We are looking for someone who is a trained healthcare assistant, preferably with experience in outpatient work and wound care. You are independent in your work, have good collaboration skills, and treat patients and colleagues in a professional and respectful manner. The dermatology reception in Oskarshamn belongs to the specialist unit and is staffed by doctors from Västervik about twice a month. The dermatology clinic conducts diagnostics and treatment of diseases that cause symptoms on the skin as well as those diseases that fall under the concept of STIs.
