Slottsskolan is a F-6 school with 515 students located in central Eskilstuna within walking distance to the train station. We are close to the city park, city library, art museum, Munktellstaden, Volvo CE arena, playgrounds, and green areas. Slottsskolan is situated on historic ground and is housed in one of Eskilstuna's oldest school buildings, renovated to modern standards. The school's students are in age-homogeneous classes, and the after-school programs are located close to each other. At Slottsskolan, the guiding principles are Safety and Knowledge. Everything we do, every day, should contribute to safety and knowledge.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

With us, you will be a mentor for a class in grade 6 and teach Swedish, mathematics, and English. You will plan, implement, and follow up on teaching based on the curriculum (Lgr22). You will adapt teaching according to the students' different needs and conditions.

You will be part of the team for grades 4-6 and collaborate closely with your colleagues. You will hold development talks and maintain regular dialogue with guardians. With your commitment and knowledge, you help students develop, both in their learning and as individuals.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a teaching degree and teaching certification with qualifications for grade 6. It is a plus if you have a broad subject qualification in Swedish, mathematics, and/or English. You have good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form and feel comfortable using digital tools as part of your teaching. Experience in teaching in schools and familiarity with working according to the current curriculum is a plus.

You are confident in your role and have an easy time building good relationships with students. You are patient, flexible, and find solutions when challenges arise.
