About the School

The school is beautifully situated on Gnestahöjden, a ten-minute walk from Gnesta train station, 40 minutes from Stockholm C. The main operator is a non-profit association founded in 1993. Gnesta is a growing municipality, and we are a modern Waldorf school that is constantly growing and developing with nearly 200 students ranging from preschool to grade 9 and after-school care.

Gnesta Waldorf School is characterized by a holistic view of students aimed at developing the whole person – thought, feeling, and will. Some aspects that distinguish our pedagogy are that we work with interdisciplinary thematic periods and aim to integrate creative activities such as art, crafts, and music into all subjects of the school.

The Position

The position is a permanent employment at 100% starting with a 6-month probationary period. The start date is January 7, 2026, or as soon as possible.

Job Description

We are looking for someone who wants to work as a class teacher for grade 4 with Lgr 22 as a natural foundation and Waldorf pedagogy as a method and approach.

You will be part of a team that works together to help students reach their highest potential.

As a class teacher, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating students' education, both individually and in collaboration with colleagues, student health, and school management. You should also promote good relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians through meetings and documentation.

Qualifications

• State teacher certification or Waldorf teacher certification.
• You have an easy time creating a creative environment for students, where relationship building is a natural part of everyday life.
• You have the ability to spark curiosity and wonder in your students.
• Knowledge of and/or interest in Waldorf pedagogy and the desire to develop as a teacher and person.
• Several years of experience in the profession is an advantage.
