Preschool Class Teacher Wanted

Are you driven and capable of building good relationships? Do you enjoy teaching younger students? We are now looking for a teacher who wants to teach in one of our preschool classes.

Mesta School is located six kilometers south of Eskilstuna city center, surrounded by a unique environment where students have access to fantastic nature. We are a primary school with about 35 employees and 240 students from preschool to third grade. At our school, we actively work with various pedagogical methods and learning through play, movement, and digital learning. One example is that we integrate knowledge about technology and nature into many of our activities. The working methods and the commitment of the educators contribute to our students achieving very good academic results.

The school is surrounded by a unique environment, and students have access to fantastic nature. Our school has low staff turnover, and the employee survey shows good results, which we see as a good indication that it is a pleasant workplace. The student surveys also show that our students feel comfortable and safe at school. We see relationships as the core of our pedagogical work.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

You will teach in one of our preschool classes. In your role, you will plan, implement, and follow up on teaching based on LGR22. You will also have a mentorship role, which means you have overall responsibility for the students' knowledge development. The work involves close dialogue with the students' guardians and conducting development talks. The role of preschool class teacher also includes work in the after-school program.

You will belong to the F-class team, where you will actively work together to develop and support students in their learning both socially and academically. As a teacher, you need to be flexible and able to adapt your teaching based on the students' needs and conditions.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a certified teacher qualified to teach grades F-3. You have knowledge of LGR22, and it is an advantage if you have experience teaching in an educational setting through work or internship. It is also advantageous if you have experience documenting in the learning platform V-klass.

As a person, you have the desire to create varied and stimulating teaching. You need to have good communication skills and interact with students, guardians, and colleagues in a respectful and inclusive manner. You are a team player who easily collaborates with others and contributes to the school's continued development. To thrive with us, you need to be responsible, flexible, action-oriented, and have good social skills.

The position is a full-time permanent position. The application deadline is January 6, 2026. We will conduct interviews in week 3 of 2026.
