Division Education has over 1900 employees, and together we work to provide children, youth, and adults with a good education. We are responsible for 31 preschools, 17 primary schools, adapted primary school, Nyköping High School, adapted upper secondary school, and adult education at Campus Nyköping.
Nyköping is developing, construction is booming, more people are choosing to move here, and our school organization is growing. We are now looking for a teacher for after-school care at Svalsta.
In recent years, the focus has been on developing a plan for systematic quality work and a common language development approach for the entire organization. It is important for us that both at the management level and operational level, time is dedicated to working on our common issues; therefore, there is scheduled time every week at each school for conferences, development work, collaboration projects, etc.
The Kiladalen school area has about 480 students from preschool class to grade 6. The area includes Svalstaskolan, Bergshammars skola, Jönåkers skola, and Ålberga skola. In total, about 80 people work within the school area.
The Kiladalen schools are located in a row along the old E4, just outside the center of Nyköping, in close proximity to forests and meadows.
The area's operational goals are based on the politicians' vision of the best primary school by 2030. We consciously work with the division's school development plan focusing on collegial learning and natural leadership regardless of function within the organization. It is important for us that you, as an applicant, are well acquainted with governing documents and can translate these into action. Since we are based on collegial learning and collaboration, it is significant that you share your competence and experience and are curious about your colleagues'. That is how we learn together and also capture our students' curiosity and desire to learn! The municipality uses Schoolsoft as a learning platform.
We assume that everyone working at a school is part of student health, but we also have a collective student health team tasked primarily with promoting and preventing work. This involves analyzing, providing support to educators, leading the schools' Safety Teams, and being part of each student health team – always in close collaboration with the school's other educators in after-school care and school.
The after-school programs in Kiladalen work together with an annual plan, where the curriculum's themes are included in a structured way.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As a teacher in after-school care, you are responsible for planning and implementing activities based on the after-school care curriculum. Currently, Svalstaskolan has four after-school departments. During the school day, part of the assignment is also to assist as a resource during lesson time. The after-school care has common time together one morning a week, focusing on pedagogical development. Planning of activities also occurs individually or together with a department colleague.
You have the ability to translate goals into enjoyable and meaningful learning, consider children's needs and interests, and support them in their development both intellectually and socially. All students at the school are everyone's responsibility.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are primarily looking for a primary school teacher for after-school care with a license issued by the Swedish National Agency for Education. You, as an applicant, have a clear pedagogical insight and the ability to translate the curriculum's goals into your work. You have a clear leadership style and feel confident in front of a group. You are flexible, structured, and well-prepared. You are a well-grounded educator who challenges and stimulates students' development. A strong belief in collaboration as a success factor for pedagogical development is a given for you. You have straightforward and humble communication with guardians and create trusting relationships with colleagues, students, and guardians.
