The municipal adult education is important for raising the educational level among the residents of Eskilstuna. The activities run year-round, and each year about one-tenth of the municipality's working-age residents participate in one of our programs. We give people in Eskilstuna a second chance and collaborate with other organizations to educate for work or further studies. We have nice facilities located centrally in Eskilstuna.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a career and study advisor, you will meet individuals both in one-on-one conversations and in groups. You will inform and guide about education, the labor market, and various career choices. You help individuals understand their opportunities and make informed decisions. To stay updated on what is happening in society, you will keep an eye on trends and have a strong commitment to contributing to development. You enjoy driving projects and collaborating with colleagues to leverage everyone's experiences. Together, we find the best paths to support our students and those seeking guidance.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has a degree in career and study advising and experience in the role through practice or work. It is an advantage if you have worked as a career and study advisor in adult education. You feel comfortable using digital tools and have knowledge of the Office suite.

You have the ability to meet individuals where they are and create trust through a responsive and respectful approach. Guiding, collaborating, and cooperating come naturally to you, and you enjoy meeting people in different life situations. At the same time, you are not afraid to express your opinions and contribute your perspectives to develop the group. You take initiative, see opportunities, and are willing to try new things to continue driving development in the workplace.

The Labor Market and Adult Education Administration is responsible for labor market initiatives, social assistance, and adult education. The administration's mission is to guide residents of Eskilstuna to initiatives and education aimed at achieving self-sufficiency. The goal is that everyone who can work should work.
