The Health and Care Administration, with approximately 1500 employees, is one of the departments in the city of Mölndal and includes elderly care, support for people with disabilities, and health care.

The unit consists of 13 social workers, divided into three groups: children, adults, and assistance, along with two senior social workers. The unit is led by a unit manager, and together we work based on current legislation to inform, investigate, assess, and make decisions regarding interventions according to LSS and SoL. We actively work to continuously develop our work by maintaining high legal security, having good discussions, and learning from each other.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Your main task as a Senior Social Worker is to guide social workers in their daily work. In addition, you will also support the unit manager. This includes compiling statistics, staying updated on current legislation and research, and communicating important changes to social workers and the unit manager. The role also includes introducing new employees.

In the supervisory role, you are expected to plan and drive the operational work and follow up on the activities. The role includes having an active role in the unit's improvement and development work together with colleagues and the unit manager.

The Senior Social Worker is also responsible for coordinating work methods within the unit and participating in cross-departmental contexts on behalf of the unit manager. This includes participating in the development of governing documents and tools as well as initiating, leading, and coordinating joint activities within the area of responsibility.

In the role of Senior Social Worker, you ensure that the social worker group operates in accordance with the political mandate regarding legislation and case law, and that the treatment of clients is of the highest quality. You will represent the authority in various contexts in the city and represent the board in administrative court and administrative appeals court.

You will also ensure that documentation follows applicable guidelines.

The position is a temporary contract due to parental leave.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a social worker or has another equivalent education deemed suitable by the employer, for example, in social care.

You have previous experience as a Senior Social Worker within LSS, preferably with a focus on the adult target group, and possess very good legal knowledge of applicable legislation, LSS, SoL, and FL. We are looking for someone who has experience collaborating with relevant partners and you have experience working in Treserva, SAMSA, IBIC, and Sharepoint.

The position requires you to have a holistic view and be able to oversee your own area of responsibility while placing the significance of your own operations in a broader context, collaborating on overarching issues to create added value. You listen to others to understand their needs and work towards cohesion in the workgroup, creating space for dialogue.

You have the ability to work together with others to perform tasks and achieve goals, understanding the common mission, acting accordingly, and contributing to the whole. We also see that you seek and seize opportunities to think innovatively in work-related contexts, which can be implemented in practice and lead to improvements. You stay updated through environmental monitoring. In this role, you need to be able to work effectively under stress, balance different demands, and remain calm in difficult situations.

You have excellent Swedish in both spoken and written form.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
