We are now looking for a foster care secretary for the Children and Youth Resource within social services’ open care.

The Care Administration has an important mission to offer care, support, and services to the municipality's residents and works to stay at the forefront, especially regarding technology and development.

For the Children and Youth Resource unit, social services’ open care, we are now seeking a foster care secretary. Our target group is children and young people aged 0–20 years and their families. The unit consists of 3 foster care secretaries, 10 family therapists, and a coordinator.

Based on current needs and upcoming challenges regarding interventions for children and youth with families, continuous development work is ongoing. We work towards quality development through increased focus on teamwork and method development with a systematic and solution-focused approach.

The work involves

The Children and Youth Resource is an operation that offers open care interventions, foster placements, and interventions related to institutional placements, as well as support in independent living. For a common approach, a development initiative has been made in the form of Signs of Safety, for a systematic and solution-focused child protection work across the entire children and youth unit.

In your role as a foster care secretary, you will have close collaboration with the team around the child, which includes child secretaries. You will primarily investigate, guide, and support foster homes, as well as work on recruiting new foster homes. Together with your colleagues, you will meet our foster homes regardless of the child's placement background.

Qualifications

We wish that you who apply have a degree in social work or another education that the employer deems appropriate, as well as experience in working with authority exercise and/or have worked as a foster care secretary.

As a person, you are flexible and have an easy time communicating in speech and writing. You are responsible, able to work independently but also collaborate with others when required. It is important that you have the ability to build relationships positively and maintain a trustworthy approach towards clients, colleagues, and supervisors.

We see it as a prerequisite that you are flexible, attentive, and creative in your work, and that you have a particular interest in open care work.

Experience in recruitment work for new foster homes, contact families, or contact persons is an advantage.
