Hemnovia is now looking for dedicated family therapists on an hourly basis for our outpatient services in Gothenburg and surrounding areas!

Being a family therapist

We are looking for experienced and committed family therapists for assignments with families in Gothenburg and the surrounding municipalities. The assignment involves working 2–3 sessions per week, mainly in the afternoon/evening, with each session lasting at least 2 hours.

The purpose of the intervention is to be therapeutic, guiding, and supportive for the parents and the family as a whole. You will work closely with the family to strengthen their abilities, create structure, and contribute to a safer and more functional everyday life.

The assignment also includes planning and coordination before the intended meeting with your immediate supervisor, the family, and the client. During the meetings, you, as the family therapist, are responsible for ensuring that the planning for the current meeting is followed, observing, and providing assistance if the situation requires it.

After each meeting, you are responsible for compiling a written and oral report to your immediate supervisor and the client. You also participate in planning meetings/discussions with your immediate supervisor and the client.

To succeed in the role of family therapist, you need to be secure, flexible, attentive, and structured.

We are looking for someone who

• Has relevant higher education, such as a social worker or equivalent.
• Has documented experience in family therapy or similar interventions.
• Has good knowledge of NPF (neuropsychiatric disabilities) and experience working with families where this is part of the issues.
• Is secure in your professional role, independent, and good at building trusting relationships.
• Has a professional and solution-focused approach to work.
