We are now looking for a new employee to the Adult Unit! The primary target group of the unit is adults with various forms of harmful use and dependence, including gambling problems, and we also work with violence in close relationships, other violence/threats, as well as dropouts from criminal activities and victims of crime.

The Adult Unit consists of an investigation team and an execution team, as well as a unit manager. The daily work in each team is led and distributed by a senior social worker and two senior treatment secretaries who are also responsible for method supervision. We offer you a position with a well-thought-out introduction, continuous internal method supervision, and external process supervision. This position will initially be placed as a social worker in our investigation team for about a year (during the period when one of our social workers is on parental leave) and the employment will then transition to a position as a treatment secretary in our execution team. Therefore, you who apply for the position with us need to have an interest in both authority exercise and the execution of support/treatment interventions.

Job Responsibilities

As a social worker in our investigation team, you will work closely with clients, and it is important that you have a clear user focus and the ability to create good meetings and conversations with our users. You will conduct qualified methodical and structured work (authority exercise) based on applicable legislation and regulations. The work also includes assessing and making decisions about interventions/support according to SoL and measures according to LVM. We also have our own reception function, which means that you will also receive applications, conduct information conversations of various kinds, and handle reports and preliminary assessments.

The execution team of the Adult Unit is responsible for the implementation of various forms of outpatient interventions aimed at the target group of adults with harmful use/dependence and, to some extent, interventions regarding violence in close relationships. The foundation of the work is psychosocial supportive and pedagogical conversations/methods.

As we in Vänersborg want to have an accessible outpatient service and as we know that many of the users we meet have a need for interventions even outside of “office hours,” all our treatment secretaries work scheduled hours. Therefore, it is important for us that you have a genuine commitment to the users we meet and see the importance of being able to provide conversation support even in the evenings and on weekends and that you have the prerequisites to work according to a schedule.

The work at the Adult Unit is varied, and we expect you to take great responsibility for the organization, implementation, and quality of the work. With us, you will work methodically together with other employees in the unit to make a difference in our users' everyday lives and lives. You will be based on the goals, guidelines, and legislation that apply to the operations and your position. In our organization, we are also very keen that the IFO's and the unit's relationship goals, as well as the social administration's employee principles, are followed.

Qualifications

To be eligible for a position at the Adult Unit, you need to have a three-year university education as a social worker, social pedagogue, or behavioral scientist, or another university education that the employer deems suitable for the position. If you have experience working with harmful use and dependence, violence in close relationships, or authority exercise and e.g., training in ASI, MI, ÅP, HAP, CRA, or other support/treatment methods, it is meritorious but not a requirement. You need to be able to work in a structured way, have a genuine commitment to our target groups, and a flexible and solution-focused approach.

It is of great importance that you can express yourself well and nuanced in both speech and writing, and that you enjoy documenting and understand the importance of documentation. The main qualities and abilities that are important for this work are responsibility, independence, flexibility, courage, and curiosity, and the position requires that you have a very good ability to prioritize independently. We will place great emphasis on personal suitability.

A valid driver's license (B) is a requirement.
