Administrators for Reception Summer Temporary Positions
Are you ready for a bigger task? We are now looking for administrators for the reception for summer temporary positions who are service-oriented and have a strong sense of legal security. The Police Authority is Sweden's largest authority with about 40,000 employees across the country and is organized into seven regions, several common departments, and a secretariat. Region East consists of three police areas: Södermanland, Östergötland, and Jönköping. The Östergötland police area is part of the East Police Region and is divided into three local police areas: Linköping, Norrköping, and Motala, an investigation section, and a secretariat.
We are now seeking staff for summer temporary positions in the reception located in Motala. Work may occur throughout the police area as needed.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The reception is the Police Authority's face to the public and often the first contact for the public and an important point of contact. The operation is both a governmental exercise and a service function with availability for both external and internal service. Working as an administrator in the reception is a significant role in strengthening trust in police operations through engagement, quality, and security in handling cases as well as efficiency. In the reception, a varied job with many different tasks is offered. Here, you meet our citizens with various police-related matters. A large part involves handling passports and travel documents. Other common matters include handling lost property, receiving reports, weapon reception, and administration in case handling.
Main Job Responsibilities:
- Handling of passports and national ID cards
- Lost property handling
- Permit handling
- Receiving reports
- External and internal service
- Some weapon and ammunition handling
- Answering phone calls and emails.
A prerequisite for being considered for the temporary position is that you can complete the introduction and basic training in RES during one of the sessions offered in March, April, or May. The introduction and training total 13 working days. Training may take place at another location.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Complete upper secondary education
- Experience in reception work or other work involving customer contacts through personal meetings and administration, in recent time assessed as relevant for the position
- Good computer and system skills
- Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
- Good knowledge of English, both spoken and written
- Driving license B
It is meritorious if you have recent work experience in:
- Case handling in the RES system
- Studying at the police education
- Lost property handling in police systems
- Receiving reports
- The Durtvå system
- Cash handling assessed as relevant for the position
- Work experience in customer service.

At times, there is high pressure in the reception, so it is very important that you are stress-resistant and have a good ability to handle work peaks while maintaining a high service level and quality.
