Your Responsibilities

As a development strategist, you will work with tasks related to social sustainability. The focus will be to coordinate and implement the municipality's overarching assignments related to national minorities, as well as to support and coordinate the municipality's work based on the Convention on the Rights of the Child. Other tasks within social sustainability may arise, depending on your background and the unit's overall competence. The work includes collaboration with contact persons, both within your team and with contact persons in the municipality's various administrations and companies, as well as with external actors.

Your Workplace

The position is located in the Sustainability Unit, a group of 9 people where development strategists in social and ecological sustainability work together with the sustainability manager.

The Sustainability Unit is responsible for the municipality's cross-administrative strategic work on issues related to sustainable development. Examples of strategic areas of competence within the group include process management in segregation, gender equality, and climate.

Within social sustainability, the unit works, in addition to the areas mentioned above, to further develop and strengthen the municipality's work on democracy and diversity issues, human rights, and collaboration with civil society.

In ecological sustainable development, the unit works with areas such as a toxin-free environment, reduced climate emissions, climate adaptation, and circular economy.

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone with a degree in social sciences or another higher education that the employer deems equivalent. You have previous experience in strategic coordination and process management work within social sustainability. Knowledge and experience of working with tasks related to national minorities and the Convention on the Rights of the Child are considered advantageous, as is experience working in a municipality or another politically governed organization.

Good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form is necessary for the position as you will handle a lot of information and produce your own material and texts, as well as collaborate with many both internally and externally.
