The Education Administration is responsible for all activities within the municipality's preschools, primary schools, adapted primary schools, after-school care, high schools, and adult education.
The Authority Unit is part of the Education Administration's central staff and is a strategic support function that leads the board's operational planning and local strategy, as well as being responsible for school legal decisions, resource allocation, and board processes.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Do you want to do something important for children and students in Sigtuna Municipality? Do you have the experience and drive required to ensure that our children and students have good facilities today and tomorrow? Then we have the role for you! Schools and preschools in Sigtuna Municipality should have suitable facilities that meet the needs of the operations and population development. As a local strategist, you will be responsible for the Education Administration's capacity planning for facilities and provide support to the operations in various types of facility issues, such as relocations or in contact with the property department. The work is carried out in close collaboration within the Education Administration and with the municipality's offices.
Main Responsibilities:
- drive the strategic work with the administration's capacity plan and functional program
- analyze, coordinate, and document the operations' short- and long-term facility needs
- ensure that facilities and outdoor environments are suitable and efficiently dimensioned
- meet the interests of schools, preschools, and the administration in facility projects and adaptations within the municipality
- ensure that inventory investments, maintenance, and adaptations are carried out efficiently and meet the needs of the operations.
- follow up and be responsible for the economy regarding investments and operating costs for facilities
- provide support and advice to principals and operations managers on facility issues
- be the administration's contact person for the managers at the municipality's property office
- order and prioritize security solutions and cameras
- be responsible for and plan relocations and evacuations of operations
- drive environmental monitoring on facility planning and facility efficiency
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone with experience in analysis and planning, preferably with experience as a local strategist or property strategist. It is an advantage if you have experience working with facility issues, in school or preschool operations, and in a politically governed organization.
You have a relevant university degree or equivalent knowledge acquired in another way. Additionally, you are a skilled user of spreadsheet programs (Excel) for calculations and forecasting work. It is also an advantage if you have experience in producing reports, decision-making documents, or service writings.
You are analytical and structured with the ability for strategic thinking. As a person, you are self-driven, flexible, persistent, and responsible. You have good communication skills in both speech and writing. You want and can learn new things, and you have creative drive and can come up with solutions to achieve the best possible results.
To succeed in this position, you must be able to collaborate easily, motivate people, and build trusting relationships. You also enjoy a mix of strategic and operational tasks.
You have a good sense of service and are prepared to contribute where needed. The work will involve being part of the Authority Unit's mission. This means that you will not only work with issues related to facilities and facility planning but can contribute where your expertise is needed. You will also be part of the administration's crisis management.
