Do you want to make a difference within Folktandvården? Folktandvården is now looking for an IT Strategist (Data Scientist, DS) who wants to contribute to facilitating and modernizing dental care through development and innovation within AI. We work closely with the clinical everyday life and support quality assurance but also work with processes within finance and other administrative systems. We are also in the process of changing the journal system where we see that AI can help improve and facilitate this process.

As a Data Scientist (DS), you will be part of our business development team, and we collaborate with DS within the region, primarily with the Sahlgrenska University Hospital's competence center for AI.

VGR has a powerful AI environment “in-house” which allows us to use our databases without risking information security. This enables us to work efficiently with short lead times and quickly turn ideas into results.

What does the job entail?

In this role, you will work together with business developers to develop systems that use various types of data from operational follow-up and administrative systems to improve and streamline care. This includes developing support within support functions such as HR, finance, analysis, marketing, and communication, support, and property management, etc. Therefore, you need to understand the described processes and have the ability to grasp and understand the challenges that need to be solved.

You will have close cooperation with VGR's AI platform team to develop sustainable ways to deploy machine learning models.

In addition to developing and deploying AI/ML solutions, you will work with operational follow-up and analysis. This means that you:

• Process and analyze data from operational follow-up, financial systems, and administrative systems.
• Support the organization with advanced analyses and model selection.
• Present insights and results in an educational manner, even in front of groups and in larger forums.

Who are we looking for?

We want you who apply to:

• have an academic degree in IT, data, data science, statistics, or equivalent.
• have knowledge in data science and are a system developer who wants to develop in AI/ML.
• are used to working with both Frontend and Backend development and knowledgeable in DevOps.
• have previous experience in developing and implementing AI/machine learning solutions and have good programming skills with a sense for well-written and production-ready code.
• have basic knowledge of Kubernetes.
• master advanced analysis, choose the right method for the right occasion, and present results in visualizations that make it easy for each target group to understand.
• have good communication skills and have a way that promotes good collaboration.
• can plan, prioritize, and be flexible when needed in your work.

Additionally, it is meritorious if you:

• have experience in deploying AI solutions and MLOps.
• have experience in dental care within AI development and/or have worked in dental care.
