Your role as a Data Scientist

As a data scientist at Combitech in Skövde, you will be part of our AI team, where innovation and cutting-edge technology shape everyday life. You will work closely with customers to develop tailored AI solutions and actively contribute to both their and our own development. Our work takes place in agile teams with a strong focus on collaboration and continuous improvement.

Examples of tasks included in the role:

Analyze and interpret data to identify valuable insights that benefit our customers.
Support companies in evolving towards a more data-driven and intelligent organization by guiding and implementing future solutions.
Design, implement, and introduce advanced AI solutions based on technologies such as LLMs, RAG, MCP, ML, among others.
Apply CI/CD, Git, and DevOps/MLOps practices for continuous delivery of high quality.
Monitor, observe, and continuously improve data services with a focus on performance, cost, and robustness.
Design, implement, and maintain robust batch and streaming-based data pipelines.
In this role, you will also act as an advisor in AI and data for both existing and new customers, providing expert support and guiding them towards innovative and value-creating solutions.
Explore and evaluate new advanced hardware to stay at the technological forefront and strengthen our AI solutions.

You will have great opportunities to grow as a consultant, with the ability to switch between assignments and technologies based on your interests and the needs of the customers.

We are looking for someone who

Has a bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field.
Has at least 5 years of experience as a data scientist or in a similar role, with applied AI/ML/Deep Learning/Predictive AI/Machine Vision/Generative AI.
Has good knowledge of Python or similar languages and experience with Docker, containers, Kubernetes, Git, Linux, Virtualization.
Has a solid understanding of probability theory, statistics, and linear algebra.
Experience in building complex systems.
Experience in software cybersecurity and software design.
Experience with cloud and cloud-native technologies.

Enjoy taking initiative and working independently while also having the ability to collaborate effectively in a team.
Have analytical skills and quality awareness that drive you to deliver high-quality solutions, as well as the ability to think creatively and find innovative solutions to technical challenges.

As the position involves work that is subject to defense secrecy, you are required to undergo and be approved in a security clearance with a background check.
