IT Support Specialist for a Critical Business

Do you want to work closely with the business, solve technical problems on-site, and contribute to a vital supply chain functioning every day? Academic Work is now looking for an IT Support Specialist who wants to combine technology, service, and practical work in an environment where your contribution makes a real difference.

ABOUT THE POSITION

Our client is a market-leading company in a stable and critical industry. They operate both offices and larger warehouse operations in Gothenburg and are facing a significant warehouse expansion where IT support plays a central role. As an IT Support Specialist, you will be part of a team that supports both office and warehouse staff and ensures that technology runs smoothly in daily operations.

You will work closely with the business, combining hands-on support in the warehouse environment with ticket management and troubleshooting at the computer. This role suits you if you thrive in a dynamic environment and enjoy taking responsibility, being proactive, and having many points of contact.

The need currently extends to the turn of the year 2026, but there are very good opportunities for extension.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Tasks

  • Provide user support for Windows, Office, M365, video conferencing, and applications
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to truck computers, label printers, and handheld scanners
  • Manage support tickets via ticket management systems and phone
  • Install, configure, and upgrade hardware and software
  • Escalate incidents to 3rd line/IT specialists according to established processes
  • Work proactively to identify and prevent technical problems
  • Be present in the warehouse and support staff in their daily work

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO

  • Has a high school or post-secondary education in IT (e.g., YH) or equivalent experience
  • Has experience in IT support or technical operations, preferably from warehousing, logistics, or production
  • Has good knowledge of Windows, M365, and basic networking
  • Is fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
  • Has a B driver's license

Meritorious

  • Experience with truck computers, handheld scanners, or other warehouse equipment
  • Knowledge of Entra ID, Intune, or other client management systems
  • Experience working closely with warehouse staff or in an operational environment
