Our IT environment is extensive and varied, encompassing everything from modern infrastructure to systems we develop ourselves. Above all, our ideas benefit the entire society, providing a unique feeling that is hard to beat.
The operations of the County Administrative Boards have a wide scope and operate in areas that are highly relevant in today's society. Digitization is a strong driving force for the County Administrative Boards, where IT often plays a key role in realizing needs.

Would you like to work with identity and access management in a socially important IT environment and help further develop the IAM/IGA platform for Sweden's County Administrative Boards?
We are looking for a systems specialist in IAM/IGA who wants to work closely with technology, take responsibility for secure and sustainable solutions, and contribute to the development of identity, access, and security in a complex organization.
The role can be adapted to your experience and offers good opportunities to influence both technology, working methods, and your personal development.
Job Description
As a systems specialist, you will work with the entire lifecycle of identity and access management – from analysis and design to implementation, management, and improvement. You play an important role in ensuring that the right person has the right access at the right time, in an environment with high demands for security, quality, and regulatory compliance.
You will work closely with the business, IT architects, and security functions, actively contributing to the further development of our platform, processes, and working methods:
- Develop, manage, and further develop solutions
- Model roles, access structures, and policies based on business needs
- Design, implement, and improve identity flows and lifecycle processes
- Work with integrations, APIs, and identity standards
- Automate and streamline processes
- Contribute to information security work, risk analyses, and requirements specification
- Contribute improvement initiatives to strengthen security and create sustainable long-term solutions
You will be part of a team with competent and engaged colleagues responsible for the design, operation, and management of our infrastructure. We have an open dialogue, sharing our knowledge with each other and always have a colleague to bounce ideas off when solving problems. The job also involves many contacts, both with colleagues within the department and with other County Administrative Boards. The IT department of the County Administrative Boards is expanding, and the IAM/IGA area is growing, which means you need to be open to the possibility that your tasks may change over time.
The IT department of the County Administrative Boards is located throughout the country. The placement is in Gothenburg or by agreement, and you belong to the Directory Services and Identity Management function. We offer flexible work with good opportunities for remote work part of the time.
Travel within the country may occur.
Qualifications
You have:
- A university degree in IT, or equivalent work-related experience.
- Several years of solid experience in identity and access management (IAM/IGA)
- Experience working with identity and access management processes, such as JML processes, certifications, policy work, role modeling, and testing frameworks
- Several years of experience in working with and operating Microsoft AD.
We would like you to have:
- Certifications relevant to the field.
- Experience in test automation, API testing, as well as functional and non-functional testing
- Good knowledge of scripting and automation, primarily in PowerShell and Java
- Understanding of security architecture, such as Least Privilege, authentication and authorization principles, and risk-based access
- Experience with API integrations and identity standards such as SCIM, REST, SOAP, SAML, OIDC, and OAuth2
- Good overall understanding of IT and cybersecurity.
Personal Qualities
As a person, you have good collaboration skills and contribute to the team's cohesion and development. You enjoy having many contacts and have a well-developed ability to communicate with both IT colleagues and staff in the business in an open, responsive, and transparent dialogue.
To succeed in the role, you also need to have a strong drive and a willingness to learn new things. You are completely self-sufficient in your working style and drive your assignments and tasks forward. At the same time, you are persistent and patient, understanding that processes can sometimes take longer than planned.
As our colleagues are spread across many locations in Sweden, we work extensively with digital meetings, and you should feel comfortable with this virtual working method.
We place great emphasis on personal suitability and see it as natural that you contribute to a good working climate. As an employee at the County Administrative Board of Västra Götaland, you should also adhere to the state’s value base.
