Förslöv School is a F-9 school with just over 530 students. We have 75 employees distributed across 5 teams. We work based on “The Whole Child – The Whole Way,” where we collectively take responsibility for both the social and academic development of our students. The foundation is based on an inclusive and stimulating study environment where we strive to give each student the best possible schooling. We focus on relational pedagogy with students' safety and participation as important parts. JOB DESCRIPTION

As a study and career counselor with us, you will be a colleague to engaged and professional staff where we together strive for every student to reach their full potential. As a study and career counselor, you work systematically to ensure that all students have good conditions for success, both now and in the future.

Your tasks

• Conducting individual and group-based study and career guidance for students in F-9 and support in these matters at a nearby F-6 school.
• Coordinating and developing the school's study and career guidance work, both overall and in daily operations. Collaborating closely with school management, teachers, student health, and guardians. Supporting students in high school choices and further study paths.
• Work experience is something we do together, but you will lead the school's work experience activities.
• You participate in and plan the school's Future Week in collaboration with a colleague at another school and with the business community in Båstad Municipality.
• Additional tasks at 100% employment include absence work in the morning and student activities.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has a strong student focus, is engaged, relationship-building, and structured.

With us, you work in a broad and dynamic school environment with students from preschool to grade 9. Here you get the opportunity to work closely with both younger and older students and really make a difference across all school stages. In your role as a study and career counselor with us, you have an important role in the promotional and preventive work. You coordinate the entire school's study and career guidance and work closely with teaching staff, school management, and student health.

You are positive, solution-oriented, and relationship-oriented, and you appreciate a creative working method where structure and flexibility go hand in hand. You have good collaboration skills and can build good relationships as the work involves many contact points with students, staff, and guardians. Great importance will be placed on personal qualities.

You feel equally comfortable guiding older students in their future study and career choices and enjoy working with younger students.
