Today, the Social Services consists of a manager, two unit managers, three team leaders within each team, and a reception. The teams consist of:

• Adult Unit (Financial Assistance, Elderly and Disability Care, Adult)
• Children/Youth (Child Investigators, Foster Home Investigations, Open Care, Support and Treatment)
• Reception/First Line (Reception, Administration, Services without Needs Assessment)

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for someone who wants to strengthen and develop our work within financial assistance.

The role of caseworker in financial assistance involves exercising authority through processing applications for financial assistance according to the Social Services Act (SoL).

Our challenge and goal are to reduce the number of people dependent on financial assistance, which is why a significant and important part of the work is to secure the individual's opportunity for self-sufficiency through mapping and systematic work.

Collaboration and cooperation both internally and externally, with other authorities such as the Employment Service, the Social Insurance Agency, and various healthcare units in Region Sörmland, are an important part of the work.

The municipality is working on the government's proposal for an activity requirement for financial assistance, which is proposed to be implemented on July 1, 2026, aimed at getting more people into work and self-sufficiency, which will involve requirements for participation in community-beneficial activities to break passivity and create national uniformity.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work or equivalent education.

You should have previous experience in the field, authority exercise, and good knowledge of current and relevant legislation.

Previous experience with Treserva is an advantage.

As a person, you find it easy to collaborate and are actively responsible in your work.

Good computer skills and experience in documentation for legally secure work are required.

It is important that you have a professional attitude and approach and that you are a person interested in developing social work and see opportunities instead of obstacles.

Language skills beyond Swedish and English are an additional merit.
